Mountainbrook Village

A total of 1,660 single-family homes and attached “villas” were built here between 1989 – 2002. All homes are single-level, stucco style with tile roofs and include at least two bedrooms, two baths, and a two-car garage.

The single-family homes range between 1,152 sq. ft. to a maximum of about 2,600 sq. ft.
The “villas” are attached in groups of two. They share a roof but do not share any common walls. There are about six inches between the two structures, and then the “dead space” was filled and stuccoed to create the look of one single system. The HOA is slightly higher on the villas because the HOA takes care of the roof, building, and front yard maintenance. Estates are all two-bedroom, two-bath homes and range between 1,375 – 1,591 square feet.
If you’re looking for a home with stunning mountain views, look no further than MountainBrook Village. This 55+ golf retirement community for active adults is located at the base of the fabled Superstition Mountains, just 30 miles east of Phoenix in Pinal County’s Gold Canyon area.

Mountain brook Village offers the absolute best views of any active adult community in the greater Phoenix area. The only other location that can compete with the majestic up close and personal mountain vistas at MountainBrook Village are in tony North Scottsdale communities like The Boulders Resort or Windfield Place. And you’ll find homes at MountainBrook Village cost almost half of what similar homes cost in the North Scottsdale communities!
The community was started in 1989 by the now-defunct builder UDC Homes. When UDC Homes filed for bankruptcy in the 1990s, Shea Homes took over the community, which was Shea’s first endeavor into the 55+ active adult market.

Shea Homes later went on to perfect their 55+ active adult designs through their award-winning upscale Trilogy brand, which is now offered in several states. In Arizona, Shea’s Trilogy brand created Trilogy at Power Ranch, Trilogy at Vistancia, and Encanterra Country Club. The most popular floorplans at MountainBrook Village were offered at Trilogy Power Ranch in Gilbert, the first Trilogy community in Arizona.
